Rasputin claims the power of the Dragon and the Ogdru Hem roam the Earth.

Hellboy, Liz and Abe team up to defeat him. Abe is killed, but Hellboy kills Rasputin though his Right Hand is severed and his spirit leaves its vessel.

The surviving humans flee underground to Shambhala.

The Ogdru Hem, Farfel, awakens and emerges from the Salton Sea, California.

The B.P.R.D. is made into an international agency by the United Nations in light of the return of the Ogdru Hem.

Uncontested, the Ogdru Hem roam the Earth but the Osiris used Hellboy's severed Right Hand to force the Ogdru Jahad down on Earth and drew out its power, intending to funnel it into themselves and become gods.

Hellboy and Acheron witness this and prevent it, Hellboy's hand reattaching in the process.

At the end of the world, Hellboy stands with Hecate and they witness as Liz Sherman unleashes the fire which consumes all life, except that which fled underground.

Chengdou disaster

In China, a Chinese government warehouse containing occult artifacts burglarized. The thief unwittingly opened a small Jade figurine, releasing a massive burst of psychic energy, killing everyone within a hundred miles, and sending a shockwave across the etheric plane.

At the same time, in Germany, Johann Kraus was astrally projecting when his body was consumed stranding him in an ectoplasmic form.

Langon Everett Caul and the Oannes Society delve into the temple (otherwise known as the Caverns of Num-Yabisc) and retrieve a cocoon idol.

They bring the idol back to London and perform a ritual, Caul picks up the cocoon which cracks and disappears into dust leaving only the image of the Water Spirit. In shock Caul collapses.

Hellboy leaves the B.P.R.D.

Abe Sapien succumbs to his gun-shot wounds, and remains in his incubation tube.

While Kate Corrigan is away in Russia, Abe Sapien undergoes a metamorphosis in his incubation tube.

After being hunted down by Johann and Agents Nichols and Gervish, Benjamin Daimio is killed by the Wendigo.

The Black Flame returns.

Following an experiment conducted by Kroenen and Kurtz, the Leopold Pope's soul which had been sent into the Ogdru Jahad is brought back into one of the Oannes bodies.

From Abe Sapien's corpse eggs spawn new life, and a new race of man.

In time they discover a woman, encased in amber that they worship.

After successfully preventing the revival of Project Vampir Sturm, the B.P.R.D. program is formed

Hellboy's dog Mac passes away and he disappears to Mexico.

The Light is born, and from this the heavenly bodies and Earth were made. Many Spirits, including Anum the Watcher, descend from Heaven.

Anum steals Vril and the Watchers create the Ogdru Jahad. The Ogdru Jahad comes to life, it creates the 369 Ogdru Hem. The Watchers look on in fear and waged war against the creations, the first native life on Earth.

An unknown amount of time after the war began, the Watchers claim victory, they defeat the Ogdru Hem and the Ogdru Jahad is sealed away.

The Watchers turn on Anum, tearing him into pieces and destroying all of them except his Right Hand.

Infuriated by the actions of the Watchers God banished many of the Watchers to the Pit in Hell, and others were stranded on Earth.

Other lesser Spirits were left to become the first race of man, the Hyperboreans.

After being cast out by God, some of the Watchers who were not sent into the Pit ended up on Earth.

The first three Spirits on Earth took form, each of them wanting to make amends for their part in the creation of the Ogdru Jahad.

• The first landed in the forest and gave its spirit away to what would become the Dan-Undra, the forest people, the fairies.
• The second landed in the sea, and those people became the Ud-Unda, the mermaids.
• The final was filled with rage, and created the Nag-Unra, who was an agent of the moon goddess, Hecate.

Eventually, the three species come together to form the first humans.

Edward Grey investigates the presence of vampires in London, and with the assistance of the Helopic Brotherhood of Ra, they force Vladimir Giurescu to flee England back to his home country.

Hellboy is summoned to Earth as a result of Project Ragna Rok. Instead of showing up on Tarmagant Island, he appears in a ruined church in East Bromwich. He is found by Trevor Bruttenholm, Sgt. George Whitman and a group of U.S. Rangers and British paranormal investigators. This became known as "The Hellboy Incident".

Early June - Mesquite Creek, Arizona

Hellboy fights the giant dog Anubis (once the Egyptian god of mummification) at a gas station.
